Gloria Robbins - CEO & Chief Ideation Officer

Gloria Robbins, CEO and Queen Bee at SMS, has never been one to sit on the sidelines. Early on in her career, she was hitting home runs in the marketing departments of Winchell’s, Hanson Foods, Taco Bell and The Walt Disney Company, and evolving into a leader with an amazing dream—to start her own company. In 1988, she did it—leaving behind the security and prestige of her Director of Sales & Marketing role at The Walt Disney Company, Gloria launched SMS with a monumental vision and modest means. More than two decades later, that vision manifested to heights even she couldn’t foretell, with companies like Kaiser Permanente, Canon, LG, Southern California Edison, Seneca Foods and Samsung all turning to SMS to create, implement and optimize innovative, profitable brand experiences, integrated across multiple channels. Part of her magic touch lies in the way she inspires her team members, motivating them to enjoy the creative process, innovate not duplicate, and deliver above and beyond expectations with every client.

As a big believer in giving back to the community, Gloria lends her success and leadership role to cast the spotlight on a number of philanthropic initiatives. She supports organizations that include Beacon Day School for Autistic Children, National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and Working Wardrobes. Gloria also serves as a board member for The American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women Organization,” where team SMS is honored to create and produce all marketing and collateral materials for their largest annual fundraising event.
